Another post

Hi All,

Another posting so soon? I know...amazing! With the wireless internet connection and so many people in close range, during the afternoons/evenings there are so many people on I can't upload. So I was up bright and early this morning and decided to add on. Here are some more pics and if I can get my video editing program to work, some more videos.

Bella did not want to look at the camera as a ladybug. She just wanted to pull the hat part off. When Steve put on his costume, Bella said "Itsy Bitsy" and then got really upset, more like she was mad, and Steve picked her up and she only wanted to go to me. Then when I put on my butterfly wings, she does "Butterfly" and has another meltdown. So I guess she wasn't sure what to think about her family turning into bugs. :)

We practiced saying "Trick or Treat" after knocking on doors, but of course Bella went mute for the real deal. But she did say "Candy!" after getting the goodies. And a couple thank yous. She got tons of candy (we're renting in a small gated community, not an upper-end community, there is just a gate to give the illusion I guess) because there are a limited number of trick-or-treaters. At one point, she couldn't carry her pumpkin anymore and was trying with all her might, but she almost had to drag it. Then she got frustrated and with her warm costume and a fairly warm evening, she was ready to call it quits. But overall, I think she had fun, especially looking at decorations. I think next Halloween will be even more fun for her.

All is well here. Please think happy thoughts that we will get our dream house. :)

Fall Fun

Hi Everyone-

Things are starting to get a little better. Bella is doing a lot better after all of the changes, which is good. It was so hard seeing her so upset and unsettled. She is still absolutely loving school and "Gym!" We go to My Gym twice a week, and I think she would live there if she had the chance.

We're still renting in Temecula and hope to hear about a couple houses we offered on soon. We are so ready to get out of this rental! It's our storage place as well as our temporary housing, and there are boxes everywhere, and we have no desire to unpack only to pack again in a few months. It's not a place to call home, a place to come and relax. But hopefully that will change soon.

I'm sorry for not getting back to those of you who emailed after the last post. Between a new job with lots of night events in the fall and getting more Learners at my online teaching job with Northcentral University and just the normal stuff, I read them but haven't been good at replying. I hope that will change soon, too. I just want to feel settled again.

Other than not feeling "grounded," things are good. We know they'll get better too. We just need to be patient.

Enough about us. :) Here are some pictures and videos since the last post.

Happy Fall!

The latest from California...

Well, life has been crazy this past month, to say the least. Steve and I had interviews in CA on our anniversary, were offered jobs 2 days later, and I flew back the next day on a Thursday only to have a day to pack the car and spend the next two driving to CA, landing Bella and I here on Sunday, with her starting a new day care full time Monday and a new job for me the same day. We spent some time living at my friend Ashley’s house while she was on vacation, then at an Extended Stay, then, after a lot of drama, we were finally in our rental. It all happened so fast, I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to anyone in Idaho other than my parents. (As a matter of fact, may friends in California don’t even know I am here yet, so this blog will be news to them.)Steve arrived a week later and started his new job. I have been without internet for the past month and finally got it this past Saturday (I am blocked at work from most sites, including all email- try turning on utilities without internet or a phone book!.) With all that said, we seem to have good jobs and Bella has a day care that I really like, and hopefully in 6 months we will be in a place of our own working toward feeling settled. And my parents will hopefully be here sooner rather than later, and then everything will be just the way it should be…

Bella had a rough time at first with teething troubles accompanied by missing her Daddy and us being so unstable. She constantly asked for her binky and would just melt down at nothing. Now she is better and is more back to normal. Her teachers tell me all the time they are amazed by how much she knows (me too!) especially with her being the youngest in her class. She has started making small sentences like “Mama, sit, lap” and my favorite “Bear, sit, bum” (we tell her to sit on her bum, so she made sure her bear followed the rules too.) She started a gym class at My Gym and had a blast- she is so active, she can get some of her wiggles out. One of her favorite things to do is sit in her chair her Papa (my dad) made and watch shows on Noggin. She also likes to pretend things are certain objects (like she will make something a car or airplane with sounds and motion) and she likes to say “Sleep. Night night” and lay down and pretend to sleep. She has a bear that her Mimi got her (Papa and Mimi were the names she chose to call my parents) and they have the same bear at day care and that is her buddy there during the day.

Hope you are all doing well. Please keep us posted on how things are going in your lives! :)

Here are some fun pix and videos since the last post:

Bella playing Dance Dance Revolution- it was hilarous watching her. She had a blast making the program beep, it wasn't even in the dance mode, it was just the menu selection, but that didn't stop her!

It's a start!

Hi All, I have had this account for over a year and am just now using it. Better late than never, I suppose. I was pretty consistent about sending out pix every month her first year, though. So now I am going to try this. We will see how long I can stick with it. :) I'm going to be posting some pix from the last 3 months and a couple of videos. Enjoy!

She just can't seem to get enough water play! (15 mo)

Having fun at the park. (14 mo)

More fun at the park. (14 mo)

Bella enjoyed the fake penguins more than most of the animals at the zoo. (14 mo)

After I posted, I just notiedc it looks like the fake tiger in the background is about to have Bella for a snack. (14 mo)

Sittin' pretty in the front yard with her "bug jug." (14 mo)

Silly smile for the camera. (13 mo)

Bella at her Kindermusik Class. She loved the egg shakers. (13 mo)

Bella talks about her bug friends, the "Deedle Deedle Beetles." She started doing the "Deedle Deedle" and accompanying hand motions one day and now does it every time she sees a bug, or really every time she *thinks* she sees a bug, like little dark spots on the hardwood, or a mole on my arm.... Silly girl. :)

At first, it doesn't look like Bella is enjoying this so much... Then she says "Again." :) That is her favorite word to say the 118th time after you have sung "London Bridge" while locking her up in your legs, or reading "Where is Baby's Belly Button?" or putting her on the slide at the playground. She adds a huge smile to our faces every day.
